So we'll be looking at the most symbolically interesting monsters in the series. Some monsters get a more comprehensive treatment than others, however. It would only make sense that the monsters born from such a process would have some deep-seated significance to the characters struggling to survive the town's machinations. Their brand of horror prides itself on being twisted and psychological, making players question the world they're presented. The Silent Hill franchise is well-known for having complex symbolic explanations for a lot of elements in their games.
